PTFE has a strong corrosion resistance, only the molten alkali metal and high temperature, high pressure element fluorine and other very few elements to play a role in it. Teflon does not absorb water, is not affected by oxygen, ultraviolet weather resistance is good, in the outdoor exposure for 3 years, the tensile strength remains almost unchanged, only the elongation decreased. Because PTFE is prone to cold flow and creep under pressure and high temperature, it is very suitable for sealing parts with strong corrosion or no contamination at low pressure, low temperature or medium temperature. Teflon can have good mechanical strength between -100 ℃ ~ 100 ℃ and can be processed into different shapes of Teflon products. It can also be used in combination with other materials, such as Teflon coated gaskets, wound gaskets, or as a coating for metal gaskets, such as metal tooth combination gaskets and metal wave tooth composite gaskets.
