PTFE Rod
PTFE Rod
The performance characteristics of PTFE rod: PTFE is a polymer formed by the polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene monomer. It is 1 a transparent or opaque wax similar to PE, with a density of 2.2g/cm3 and a water absorption rate of less than 0.01%. Its chemical structure is similar to PE.
The F atom in the PTFE molecule is symmetrical, and the two elements in the C- F bond are covalently bonded. There is no free electron in the molecule, so the whole molecule is neutral, so it has excellent dielectric properties, and its electrical insulation is not affected by the environment and frequency. Its volume resistance is greater than 1017km, its dielectric loss is small, its breakdown voltage and arc resistance are good, and it can work in an electrical environment of 250 ℃ for a long time. Due to the hydrogen bonding and symmetrical structure of PTFE molecular structure, its crystallinity is very high (generally 55% ~ 75%, sometimes as high as 94%), which makes PTFE excellent in heat resistance and its melting temperature is 324 ℃, the decomposition temperature is 415 ℃, the maximum use temperature is 250 ℃, the embrittlement temperature is -190 ℃, and the thermal deformation temperature (0.46MPa) is 120 ℃. PTFE has good mechanical properties, its tensile strength is 21 ~ 28MPa, bending strength is 11 ~ 14MPa, elongation is 250~300, the dynamic and static friction coefficient of steel is 0.04, than nylon, polyoxymethylene, polyester plastic friction coefficient is small.
