Analysis of the related uses of polytetrafluoroethylene film
-2023-05-31 19:12:07-

Polytetrafluoroethylene film is made from suspended polytetrafluoroethylene resin by molding, sintering, cooling into a blank, then turning and rolling. The thin film obtained by turning is an undirected film, which is then compressed and stretched to form an oriented film. Non oriented thin films are semi oriented after rolling by 1.1 to 1.8 times. Polytetrafluoroethylene film is used as a dielectric for capacitors, for wire insulation, electrical instrument insulation, and sealing gaskets. Polytetrafluoroethylene film is divided into polytetrafluoroethylene colored film, polytetrafluoroethylene activated film, and F46 (FEP) film.
Application of polytetrafluoroethylene film: Due to its excellent purity and uniform thickness, polytetrafluoroethylene film is an ideal material for electronic applications such as microwave circuit boards. Under significant changes in temperature and frequency, its dielectric constant is smaller than that of other solid materials; Its excellent arc resistance is the best choice material in many electrical fields such as wire and cable insulation. Its volume resistivity does not change even after being immersed in water for a long time, and its stability is superior to other insulation materials; Its excellent release performance and thermal stability not only enable it to be continuously used above 260 ℃, but also withstand higher temperatures in a short period of time. Its sufficient width means that it can be molded under the smallest gap in large components, making it the best surface release material for high-temperature composite components in the aviation and aerospace fields.
The difference between polytetrafluoroethylene color film, polytetrafluoroethylene activation film, and F46 film: polytetrafluoroethylene color film is made by adding a certain amount of colorant to the suspended polytetrafluoroethylene resin, molding, sintering, and then turning, rolling to produce thirteen colors of polytetrafluoroethylene directional or non directional color film, including red, yellow, blue, green, purple, brown, and black. Although a certain amount of colorant is added to the polytetrafluoroethylene color film, it still has good electrical insulation and is suitable for insulation and classification recognition of wires, cables, and electrical components.
The polytetrafluoroethylene activation film is a thin film formed by surface activation treatment of polytetrafluoroethylene film, filled film, and colored film. Add pigments, glass fibers, carbon fibers, and other fillers to the product. After activation treatment, the performance is further improved, which can be compatible with rubber, metal, etc., and can also be made into special tape. PTFE activated membranes are widely used in light industry, military industry, aerospace, oil fields, and other fields.
F46 thin film has strong resistance to voltage and breakdown voltage, and can be used for capacitor dielectric, wire insulation, electrical instrument insulation, and sealing gaskets. The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) turning film is formed by rolling and orientation using a rolling machine with hot rollers. It has high crystallinity, compact molecular orientation, and low porosity, resulting in extremely high voltage resistance.
The difference between directional, non directional, and semi directional films: Polytetrafluoroethylene film is a blank formed by molding, sintering, and cooling of polytetrafluoroethylene resin, which is then turned and rolled. The turned film is non oriented film, which can be used as insulation and sealing gasket materials for electrical instruments, as well as high-temperature resistant and anti sticking materials for plastic sealing machines, non-metallic expansion joint, and materials for debonding and demoulding.
After being pressed and stretched, the non oriented thin film becomes a directional thin film, with a directionality of 1.6~2.0. The directional thin film can be used to manufacture capacitors.
After being rolled 1.1 to 1.8 times, the semi directional film becomes a semi directional film, with a directionality of 1.2 to 1.6. The semi directional film is suitable for wire insulation.
Classification: SMF-1 (directional): used as a capacitive medium, etc; SMF-2 (semi directional, non directional): used for wire insulation; SMF-3 (directional, non directional): Used as insulation and sealing gasket for electrical instruments.
